Welcome from our President

The Caribbean Association of Otolaryngologists (CAO) is pleased to announce its 26th Annual Scientific Conference of the Caribbean Association Of Otolaryngologists (CAO) in Association with the University of the West Indies, American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery and Barbados Association of Otolaryngologists, Head & Neck Surgeons.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with warm memories and great satisfaction that we return to Barbados for our 26 Annual conference. This Jewel Island is where we had that first meeting that led to the formation of the Caribbean Association of Otolaryngologists (CAO). That first meeting in 1992, facilitated by one of our faithful sponsors, brought many of our Caribbean ENT specialists together, and facilitated the discussions that led to the formation of the CAO and our first academic meeting a year later, in 1993.

The conference organizing team has compiled a rich academic programme, with the wisdom of many eminent, world renowned speakers and the enthusiasm and enquiry of our youthful members. We anticipate the usual high academic standard and excellence of CAO meetings.

Barbados, one of the many jewels of the Caribbean, is known for its hospitality and its natural beauty. We look forward to enjoying these attributes of our host island as we spend five exciting days with our hosts.

Welcome to those returning attendees to CAO and to those joining us for the first time. We hope that you will find the same mix of camaraderie and academic excellence as we have enjoyed in the past. We hope also that you will have a chance to see some of the offerings of Barbados after the meeting.

Welcome all!! Welcome to Beautiful Barbados!!

Sincerely,
Barbara Grandison
President CAO
